After the Christmas Tree was taken away, the ground was planted with Daffodil Bulbs, kindly donated by Chorley Council. A load of top soil was added and finally a layer of bark. Seen here spreading the bark is Councillor Alan Platt.

2007 Christmas Carol Singing around the Tree was wonderful. The weather was chilly but dry and clear. Over 150, probably nearer 200 people turned out to sing to the Parklands High School players and afterwards went in the Community Centre for a warm drink and mince pie. The photos by no means do the evening justice. |
