Sponsor a Permanent Flower Planter around the Village
Around the village there a number of permanent flower planters which can be sponsored by local businesses.
Locations:
Euxton Parish Council has a number planters, tubs and troughs around the village. The wooden log roll planters are situated at major traffic points around:
Runshaw Lane : near the motorway bridge on the grass verge Sponsored by The Plough Inn, Runshaw Lane
Runshaw Lane : next to the shops in the grass verge

Dawbers Lane : opposite the former Xelflex factory on the grass verge Sponsored by Glovers Bakery
Balshaw Lane : junction at Highways Avenue, in front of shops on the grass
Sponsored by The Talbot public house in Memory of Mick Treadwell
Balshaw Lane : junction with Washington Lane, prominent grass verge corner
Sponsored by the Parish Council in Memory of Robert Young
Euxton Lane : by the Euxton boundary sign (small planter not suitable for sponsor plate)
Wigan Road : in the middle of the village infront of the two tile centres

Planter responsibilities - planters are weeded, maintained and watered within the sponsorship cost so there is no additional costs or commitments.
The Parish Council have the planters filled for Spring and Summer flowering. To sponsor one planter for both a Spring and a Summer planting would cost £200 per planter (plus the cost of a sponsorship plaque – approx £20 + vat).

Advertise in the Euxton Web Newsletter
The Euxton Web is a quarterly newsletter produced by the Parish Council and distributed to all Euxton homes. It has spaces for local businesses to advertise to promote their business and these adverts help subsidise the cost of printing and distributing the publication.
The newsletter is printed in full colour on quality gloss art paper. It consists of 8 sides of A4.
The newsletter is distributed the first week of: March, June, September and December. The deadline for inclusion is three weeks prior to the distribution date.
Total distribution of the Euxton Web is 5,000. The Euxton Web is delivered by a distribution company to approx 3,000 properties in Euxton Solus, which means it is delivered on its own and not with other leaflets or inside a newspaper.
Besides this delivery, the Parish Council posts, or has hand delivered, the newsletter to properties not covered by the distribution company, such as the new properties on Buckshaw Village within Euxton and the more rural homes on the outskirts of Euxton. This amounts to a further 1,500+ properties (and growing).
Issues of the Euxton Web, which includes all the advertisements, are also available on the Council’s website for anyone to access - see link on the right.
