(KNOWN AS CULBECK LANE, EUXTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily any traffic from proceeding over Public Footpath Euxton 37 & 38, Chorley, (known as Culbeck Lane) indicated below:-
Footpaths Euxton 37 & 38, Chorley, known as Culbeck Lane, from the junction of Dawber's Lane at Point A (grid reference SD 5356 1851) for approximately 570 metres in a generally northerly direction along Culbeck Lane through a junction with Footpaths Euxton 35 & 36 at Point B (SD 5362 1883) to the junction with Footpath Euxton 40 near 'Lothlorien' at Point C (SD 5353 1904).
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on the footpaths.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works.
Private vehicular access may be allowed to premises but only by permission of those carrying out the works and subject to any conditions imposed by those carrying out the worksÂ
The Order will be operative from the 15th August, 2018, for a maximum duration of 6 months, or until the works are completed within this period.

Please Note: It is expected that the works will take approximately 5 weeks but the Order will remain in place until all works are completed.
The plan on site shows the route to be closed as A–B-C. Lancashire County Council is informed that an alternative route for pedestrians only marked A-E-D-C is available.
