Councillor Vacancy in Euxton North

Presently there is a Parish Councillor vacancy in Euxton North ward, due to the sad passing of Cllr John Matson. If there is no call for an election for the seat, the vacancy can be filled by co-option.

Applications are invited and any person wishing to serve as a Councillor should write to the Clerk giving details of interests, experience and reasons for wishing to serve:

Clerk to the Council, 9 Ambleside Avenue, Euxton, PR7 6NX

To qualify, a person must be a British subject or citizen of the Irish Republic, over 18 years of age and an elector, must reside within the parish of Euxton, or within 3 miles of it, or occupy as owner or tenant any land or premises therein, or have their principal or only place of work there, and must not be disqualified from holding office as a Councillor (details from the Clerk).
